MUSIC ON PORTL

As a PORTL creator, you have the ability to share music based Albums and Songs with members and/or subscribers.

CREATING AN ALBUM

1. To create an Album visit your PORTL Studio and click on CREATE.  Then click on ALBUM from the Create Menu.
2. Now fill out the Album details on the Album Channel page
   1. Album Cover – this image will be your Album Cover. The suggested image size  is 900 pixels wide by 835 pixels tall at 72 dpi.   Suggested image formats include JPG or PNG. (LINK HERE)
   2. Album Name – this will be the name featured in our Album Listings page and on the Album page. 
   3. Channel – choose the Channel that your Album will be displayed within
   4. Category – choose a Category that best matches your Album Genre, if you don’t see one that fits please choose “Other”.  If you would like to suggest a new category, please use this feedback form (LINK HERE)
   5. Tags – Using Tags help members search for your Album.  Each Album is limited to three tags.  Be creative, but also think about what search terms will help members find your Video based on your tags.
   6. Description – Your Album Description can be as long or short as you like.  The Description box includes rich text features like bolding and italics, as well as media embeds including video and photos. 
      • Add A Song – Albums are comprised of Songs which can be uploaded and arranged in order with the Portl Studio drag and drop system.  Each song is comprised of the following fields:
      • Featured image – this image will be your songs image when displayed as an individual track.  If your song has unique artwork you can upload it here, otherwise you can use the Album cover for all songs. The suggested image size  is 900 pixels wide by 835 pixels tall at 72 dpi.   Suggested image formats include JPG or PNG.
      • Song Name – this will be the name featured in our Song Listings page and on the Song page. Channel – choose the Channel that your Song will be displayed within
      • Category – choose a Category that best matches your Songs Genre, if you don’t see one that fits please choose “Other”.  If you would like to suggest a new category, please use this feedback form (LINK HERE)

      • Lyrics – This section allows you to share song lyrics for music that includes words.
      • Visibility Settings – this setting determines whether your Song is available to all PORTL members or to your Subscribers Only.

        3.  Now click CREATE to activate your Album
